Aeronautical Engineering
Is one of the three polytechnics in Karnataka who can boast aeronautical engineering branch. The department as well as cube laboratories such as aerodynamics lab with the modern wind tunnel aircraft structures lab propulsion lab and modelling and simulation lab to name a few.
Bangalore being the hub of several aeronautical research laboratories and industries such as ISRO, ADA, ADE, NAL, HAL offers opportunities to our students to update the learning by visits, conferences and guest lectures from this experts. SCTP is probably the only college to own Cessna aircraft single engine propeller for practical and maintenance demonstration.
Computer Science
With the ever growing of IT firms courses on computer and information science have been most sought after by engineering as students aspirants. The department of computer and information sciences in sctp has two modern computer laboratories and one internet laboratory with systems of high-end configurations.
The internet lab as a dedicated broadband line of 1 MBPS band providing unlimited internet access to all users. This laboratories are also equipped with other essential hardware such as laser printers, scanners etc., the departments are well equipped with experienced and dedicated faculty and non teaching staff.
Electronics & Communication
Electronics & communication engineering is in the forefront of all recent developments and advancements in science and technology. the growth and innovations in electronics has transformed the lifestyle of present generation and will continue to do so in the coming years.
The department of electronics & communication engineering strives to build a new generation of engineers who are exposed to all recent developments by a team of well qualified and dedicated faculty this includes embedded technology, VLSI, digital communication, wireless communication, operating system, digital signal processing etc., The department is fully geared to handle the curriculum through well equipped Labs.
Mechanical Engineering
Engineering is considered with design, development, manufacture, manage and control of mechanical systems. In SCTP there are six laboratories covering thermal fluid mechanics materials testing and metrology computer lab to impart knowledge on computer based engineering drawing and modern workshop.
In this workshops students acquire basic skills of fitting, welding, machining, foundry etc., And go on to explore the manufacturing aspects of engineering.
Electrical & Electronics
Students are exposed to latest technology in the field of electrical and electronics and are encouraged to explore new ideas under the guidance of experienced and devoted staff drawn the industry as also the acadamics.
Students after being given a firm grounding in theory gets hands-on experience in laboratories. The department has spacious state of the art laboratories.
